To empower and elevate food analysis through a unique proteomics database and software solution. We are dedicated to delivering accuracy, reliability, and scalability, ensuring the integrity of food products throughout the entire supply chain and safeguarding all stakeholders in the food industry.
Nerds with Charm
ProteoT was founded by Pim Schaasberg and Martin Pabst—two self-proclaimed “nerds with charm” passionate about advancing food safety and quality through protein data analysis.
The duo met in 2019 when Pim worked on his bachelor’s thesis with Martin whose research group at Delft University of Technology focuses on Microbial Proteomics applications using high resolution mass spectrometry and bioinformatics.
In 2022, during Pim’s master thesis, they reconnected over shared interests in industrial proteomics and food biotechnology. Together, they aim to drive the protein transition with cutting-edge software and a protein fingerprint database, empowering the future of novel food products.
